not-for-profit organization of professionals and organization involved
with the Internet. SIP's mandate is to raise the standard of Internet
Professionals by creating a professional designation.

Certified Web
Technician CWT
The Certified Web Technician is an individual who is qualified to build
and maintain a Web presence, including, but not limited to, responsibilities
for administration, security networking infrastructure, and ongoing support.
The Certified Web Technician is expected to be able to perform these tasks
with limited assistance from product documentation, peers, and vendor
support resources.
Certified Web Designer CWD
The Certified Web Designer is an individual employed by a private or public
sector organization, consulting company, or one who is self employed,
who is capable of researching, planning, and designing web pages, including
the integration of all foreground and background components. The Certified
Web Designer's responsibilities include designing web pages which incorporate
usability and cultural factors. It is expected that the Certified Web
Designer will be able to perform these tasks with limited assistance,
and will remain cognizant of common standards as well as emerging trends
and technologies.
Certified
Web Manager CWM
The Certified Web Manager is an individual who is capable of coordinating
the planning, creation, organization, implementation, measurement, maintenance,
and control of a website. This individual has proficiency in general business
practices, verbal and written communication, people management, logical
process and programming fundamentals, and relevant technology for websites,
data base, content publishing, and related net technologies and protocols.
The Certified Web Manager's responsibilities include website security,
effectiveness, efficiency, and appeal, and the optimal performance and
productivity of resources within their scope of control.
